About the PTO

Hi there — and welcome to the heart behind the happenings!

The PTO at Oyster Creek Elementary is a group of parents, caregivers, and teachers who believe school should be more than homework folders and early morning drop-offs. We’re here to build community, support our amazing staff, and create those “remember when…” moments our kids will talk about for years.

We plan the fun stuff (hello, family events and celebrations 🎉), support the important stuff (teacher appreciation, classroom needs, student programs), and help connect families so no one feels like they’re navigating elementary school alone.

Are we organized? Yes.

Do we send reminder emails? Also yes.

Do we sometimes run on coffee and group texts? Absolutely.

Are we wild enough to perform tricks and decorate walls on stilts? Of course.

But most importantly — we care deeply about our school and our kids.

You don’t have to have tons of free time. You don’t have to be crafty, or a Pinterest expert, or know how to run a carnival (although if you do… call us 😉). Whether you volunteer once a year or jump in regularly, there’s a place for you here.

Because at Oyster Creek, when families and teachers work together, amazing things happen.
